Tahabata Finally Killed in EU Servers

Two months after his grizzly demise at the hands of an elite Aion US group, Tahabata Pyrelord suffered another historic downing across the Atlantic.

An Asmodian group in the Gorgos server scored the first EU server kill of Tahabata on Monday night. Even though the group labored over ten attempts in three weeks, the record feat just rewarded them with two disappointing drops: a Dragon Flame Headband and an Anuhart Elite’s Dirk.

The group used a similar composition to the first US server kill group minus a ranger tank and plus a gladiator. The Spiritmaster community has noticed the absence of their class in both line-ups, which has sparked debate about the damage output of SM in raids.

In an interview with Aionsource.com, Assassin Verman attributed their win to timely healing and topnotch DPS, and less to the use of fire-resist armor:

“At first we thought the whole team would need a full set of anti-fire gear but in the end we found Fenris was fine. We took tonnes of potions and everyone carried self resurrect stones… The main thing was making sure we had huge amounts of DPS. Also, we had to make sure we all used skills in perfect timing. For example, when the adds came at 25% we had to use our special skills then to make sure we didn’t all die.”

Even though his group didn’t advocate full anti-fire gear, Templar Clik said healers should stick to Dragon Flame or Flame of Hell sets to avoid death (and group wipes). “Everyone else can just use Anuhart, Fenris or full Abyss armor,” Clik added.

This is good news for most players since the new Veteran Rewards will be giving out free Abyss Points in the form of a redeemable Major Ancient Crown every month. Woot woot!

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
